Established in 1996, St Basil’s is a not-for-profit aged care organisation dedicated to supporting older people and their families across Perth, Western Australia.

What began as a community-based service for older Greek Australians has grown into an inclusive provider of home care and respite services, welcoming people from all cultural backgrounds.

At the heart of St Basil’s is a belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion and respect. We recognise that each person has their own story, cultural identity, preferences and aspirations, and that meaningful care begins with understanding what matters most to them.

Our team works alongside clients, families and carers to provide personalised support that promotes independence, strengthens connections and enables older people to continue participating in the communities they love.

We are proud of our Greek heritage and the values upon which St Basil’s was founded. These values continue to shape our approach to care and our commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive and supportive community for everyone.

St Basil’s was established in Perth in 1996 to meet the aged care needs of the local Greek community, providing culturally appropriate care that respected language, traditions, faith and family connections.

Operating under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, St Basil’s draws inspiration from the teachings of St Basil and the values of the Greek Orthodox faith.

These foundations are reflected in our commitment to compassion, respect, integrity and acceptance, as well as the importance we place on relationships, family, culture, community and spirituality.

Over the past 30 years, St Basil’s has evolved to meet the changing needs of Perth’s older population, extending its services to people from all cultures and backgrounds while remaining connected to its Greek Orthodox heritage.

Inspired by the teachings of St Basil, whose legacy of compassion and service dates back more than 1,600 years, we continue a tradition of caring for others with dignity and respect.
